Peruvian cocoa is on the rise. Cocoa originally comes from Peru and not from Mexico, as has always been assumed until now. The Piura cocoa variety comes from the north of the country on the border with Ecuador. It is also known as Cacao Blanco - white cocoa and is considered one of the best cocoa varieties in the world. Its aromas are described according to: melon, citrus, wood, dark sugar and jasmine.
