The hazelnut truffles from Antica Torroneria Piemontese are made from the best hazelnuts in the world: IGP hazelnuts from Piedmont . IGP, which is freely translated from Italian "Protected geographical indication" means, certifies that the hazelnuts originate from the Piedmont region. The region around Turin is known for the outstanding quality of its hazelnuts. The hazelnuts owe their excellent taste and smell, long shelf life and good peelability to the ideal conditions under which they grow in north-west Italy. The winters are mild and the soil is moist and warm.

For these light truffles the Most of the hazelnuts are finely ground, a smaller part is just chopped. The hazelnut components be with Sugar, whole milk powder, cocoa butter and of course cinnamon and candied ginger pieces mixed. The mass is formed into a long snake, which is then cut into mung-fair pieces. The resulting truffles are individually in yellow paper packed up.
