Specialty from 1001 nightsLayla Douceurs d``Orient from Tunisia Oriental confectionary box Silk with 3 x 3 chocolates , handmade in the family manufactory.
The mixture Silk (English for silk) contains 3 different types of pralines:
- Date praline with dark chocolate and pistachio . The praline is filled with a paste made from dates and almonds, coated with dark chocolate and topped with a pistachio.
- Sesame flower . This flower-shaped praline is filled with a hazelnut chocolate cream and coated with caramelized sesame.
- Date praline with light chocolate and pistachio . The pralines are filled with a paste made from dates and almonds and coated with milk chocolate and decorated with a pistachio.
The dates are of the "Finger of Light" variety, a top quality that owes its name to its particularly soft, almost transparent pulp and its sweet, full-bodied taste. Dates have been a staple food in the Orient for 5,000 years and are therefore also known as the bread of the desert. The plant grows to a height of 15 to 20 meters and bears fruit for up to 100 years, but only every 2 years.
The shelf life of this pack is only a few weeks, as everything is made without preservatives.
