The Nacional cocoa beans grow in the jungle of Ecuador and are used by small farmers grown in the Napo province in the Amazon lowlands. Today the Kichwa Indians are organized in the Kallari Cooperative so that the forest is preserved and the Indians have a livelihood. She is supported by GEO protects the rainforest eV, the GTZ, and Original Food. The cooperative now has over 3,000 smallholder families.

The beans were roasted brittle and then covered with 70% forest chocolate made from the same cocoa beans. All Rio Napo products are certified organic and are processed by Felchlin in Switzerland.

The Rio Napo organic cocoa beans made from Arriba Nacional cocoa are for true connoisseurs.
