The small island of Sao Tomé off the coast of West Africa is hardly known and yet it has a long and rich cocoa tradition. It is a unique original chocolate with 75% cocoa content with a tropical aroma and a fantastic melt thanks to 19 hours of conching time. For a 75% chocolate it is surprisingly mild and with a red cherry undertone and notes of leather and tobacco.

The island of São Tomé is named after the holy Apostle Thomas after it was discovered on St. Thomas' Day on December 21, 1471 by João de Santarém.
