Originally mandarins probably come from the northeast of India. On the other side of the mountains in China, they have been grown for thousands of years. They came to Europe with Abraham Hume from China in 1805. At that time it was called the Cantonese orange . The Mediterranean mandarin was later developed from it.

Is that where the term Mandarin Chinese comes from? We do not know it. In any case, most of the world's mandarins are grown in China.

The fruits for this delicious jam come from the Greek island of Chios. They have an intense aroma and come from a very old variety.

The jam only contains fruit, sugar and fresh lemon juice. Without additives, without preservatives, like all jams and jams from Deligreece.
