Buying chocolate online in the Chocolats-de-luxe.de shop - thanks to the simple menu structure and availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it's child's play. But then unfortunately the chocolate you have ordered is not yet at home. First of all, your goods must be properly packed and then dispatched. Of course, we take care of this part - you only wait a few days and you will quickly receive your ordered goods conveniently by shipping with DHL. However, it is often incomprehensible how such a shipment works in a large company and which regulations apply to the different countries. Therefore we would like to inform you about the most important key data here.

Often the procedures for sending the high-quality chocolate do not differ that much - because shipping is shipping. But we at Chocolats-de-luxe.de attach great importance to speed. Because we know: if our customers have an eye on something from our shop, they want to be able to enjoy it as quickly as possible. Our top priority is: We stand for fast and transparent shipping and we will inform you about the completion of your package. You can check the order status of your delivery at any time and if you have any questions, we are at your disposal!

 

Delivery area:
We deliver worldwide with DHL & DPD, within Germany also to DHL packing stations. If you are not at home, you can have your goods delivered directly to such a station and then pick up the chocolate when you have the time!

Delivery address:
DHL & DPD deliver your parcels and depend on the correctness of your address information. A street name and house number must always be given.

Alternative delivery address:
In the case of gifts in particular, the correct delivery address is necessary for punctual delivery. (If, for example, there are return deliveries due to an incorrect address, additional postage costs will be incurred! - see return delivery costs). If you click on "Checkout" in the shopping cart, you can choose one of the addresses already created in the first step of the payment process or add and manage new ones.

Delivery time:
Your order will be within Germany Usually sent from Monday to Friday on the day of the order or the next working day, provided that all products are in stock. If this is not the case, we will inform you in writing of the status of the delivery and send your chocolate as soon as possible. You will usually receive a dispatch notification with the package tracking number on the day of dispatch.

We do not have a minimum order value.

However, if your order weight exceeds the maximum weight of 31.5 kg per package, we will split your order into several packages. In this case, we will inform you immediately and charge you the corresponding additional costs for the higher transport costs.

International shipping:
In principle, we only send abroad via DHL Premium Shipping. In Zone 1 (EU) there are no customs duties or import sales taxes. In all other countries there are taxes that are calculated by the local authorities. Please note the duty-free limits in your country.

We only send abroad against prepayment.

Return delivery costs in the event of non-delivery:
The return delivery costs are currently: € 7.90 within Germany, € 13.90 within EU countries including VAT (as of 1.2019)

Tax-free shipments
Every shipment to Switzerland is generally subject to customs and import sales tax (EuST). There is no special tax-free limit as in passenger traffic, but only a tax-free limit. The current tax exemption limit for commercial shipping is currently 62.50 CHF or 50.00 EUR. (Exception: shipping of alcohol, tobacco, watches, etc.)

Shipments subject to duty
Should there be a collection of import taxes / duties, customs handling fees, these will always be collected by the RECIPIENT of the package!

Customs handling fees are:

  • Presentation tax (fee for the presentation of the goods at customs, CHF 17.50 or 38.00). When sending a global package with the "Premium" service, the fee for customs clearance is already included in the price, ie NO presentation tax is charged from the recipient. We therefore only send via WELTPAKET Premium.
  • Account management / risk fee (payment in advance / debiting of the DHL customs account) as well as the
  • Submission commission (fee for invoicing).

 

If import sales taxes / duties are due due to the type of goods / the value of the goods, these will be offset in advance between DHL Switzerland and Swiss customs. DHL Switzerland charges an account management / risk fee of CHF 2.00 for the "advance payment", which is collected from the recipient in "cash" during delivery, together with the determined customs duties and import sales tax.

Shipment tracking:
We can track all packages online using a tracking code. We will send you the tracking number for this.

Availability of products:
If we are unable to deliver a product that you have ordered, we will notify you by email. We will do everything possible to avoid this situation, but it can occur due to delivery bottlenecks at the manufacturers or transport difficulties (strike, storms, etc.). In summer, we reserve the right to delay shipping or only to send it in thermal packaging in the event of very high temperatures in order to protect the goods from damage.
