The Nougaterie du Roy René has been producing French nougat since 1920. In this case, the white nougat consists of pistachios from Provence. The whole thing is refined with whole pistachios.

Confiserie du Roy René is one of the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoin Vivant) companies in France. The label is awarded by the government exclusively to companies that preserve the heritage of French culture and stands for excellent know-how in the respective industry.

Le Roy René is also known for its calissons. A confectionery made from almonds, with candied melon and orange.

Sugar, glucose syrup, pistachios 20%, maritime lavender honey, pistachio paste 5% (pistachios 57%, sugar, almonds, natural flavoring), almonds 5%, egg white, unleavened bread (potato starch, water, olive oil), bitter almond extract. May contain traces of other nuts, milk and soybeans. (Note: Pistachios have a green edge and a light core, if you see something green/white, it is probably not mold but a pistachio)
