Lauter Abkürzungen, was bedeutet das alles? PiWi bedeutet Pilzwiderstandsfähige Rebsorte. Haben Sie schon mal von Mehltau gehört? Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde diese Rebkrankeheit aus Amerika eingeschleppt und hat sich im europäischen Weinbau eingenistet. Deutschland ist führend in der Forschung und Züchtung von resistenten Rebsorten. Dabei werden die Pflanzenschutzmittel um 80% reduziert, wovon Mensch und Umwelt profitieren. Dies ist ein solcher Erfolg.

Ein Weißwein Cuvée mit frischen gelben Reflexen im Glas. Im Duft fruchtig nach Pfirsich und leicht exotischen Noten. Am Gaumen lebendig.

Auf dem Gelände der Bundesgartenschau (BUGA) 2023 in Mannheim gibt es jetzt sogar einen Weinberg. Gepflegt wird er von der Winzergenossenschaft Schriesheim. Und die liefert exklusiv den Wein für die BUGA in diesem Jahr. Mannheim liegt fast vor der Haustür, man kann die 300 extra angepflanzten Rebstöcke bewundern und nach Schriesheim rüberschauen.
