Single Origin Chocolate

Cocoa from Venezuela is very difficult to obtain due to the political situation in the country. The Franceschi family has owned cacao plantations since 1830, some with very old cacao trees. These are plants with high Criollo content, which is very rare to find.

The cacao comes from the central coastal region of Barlovento in Venezuela near Caracas and is a Trinitario carenero Barlovento. Carenero is a port city from which the cacao used to be shipped. The cacao was named after it.

The cocoa has typical notes of cocoa and chocolate, as well as aromas of caramel, lemon, berries and honey.

Try this rare chocolate made from even rarer Venezuelan cacao beans. The chocolate consists of small chocolate bars packaged in a resealable bag.
