El Salvador 70% dark chocolate

The cacao in this El Salvador bar is grown by Hacienda San José Real de la Carrera, one of the largest private plantations in Central America, covering about 350 hectares. Hacienda San José also owns its own processing facilities to transform its cacao into semi-finished products and chocolate.

"Opening the package, you immediately smelled a mixture of raisins and currants, freshly dried and still warm from the sun, and this aroma turned into the main note of the silky smooth chocolate. The flavor then transitioned to a vinous note reminiscent of sherry wine, ending with the tartness of green apples and caramel. Incredible.
