Mademoiselle de Margaux

Mademoiselle de Margaux

The company Mademoiselle de Margaux was founded in 1969. The two specialties of the house are the Guinettes - cherries in Armagnac coated with dark Chocolate and the Sarments du Chocolats - chocolate sticks with filling for Pain au Chocolats. The two products have won several awards award-winning.

The Margaux wine region is located in the Bordeaux wine region, one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The famous Chateau Margaux produces the best red wines from Bordeaux.

The Sarments du Chocolats were invented by accident in 1981. The machine was clogged, so the sticks came out in serpentine lines. The new shape of the sticks was invented. The sticks come with different fillings in raspberry, orange or grape.

Guinette cherries are a regional specialty made with cherry or Armagnac in dark Chocolate. The real stem of the cherries has been replaced by an artificial stem for durability. The cherries are of the Morello cherry variety.

La Guinette cherries - a regional specialty

Chocolate-covered fruit is a regional specialty from the Margaux region. The name Margaux comes from the Persian "magritis" meaning "pearl". So you could say that Margaux are the pearls from the Médoc, couldn't you?

Mademoiselle de Marg aux's sour cherries preserved in Armagnac have won several awards. They are carefully harvested, washed, pitted, de-stemmed and then processed. The cherries must be kept in the sugar bowl for a few days before being covered with dark Chocolate. The Sarments du Médoc were also very successful. They won the coveted Candy Award for the best imported confectionery product at the Fancy Food Show in Washington shortly after their launch.

Mademoiselle de Margaux is certified according to the international standard ISO and works according to the HACCP system.

Give a box of the delicious Pralines as a gift or share them with your friends, acquaintances or family. The light blue box contains 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 of the cherries in Armagnac.
