Panthère Nue
The naked panther, it's all about macadamia, is what Moritz Körner calls his brand. The panther is his favorite animal and green his favorite color. He loves macadamia nuts and found that there was no good quality on the German market and started searching. He discovered the best nuts in Kenya. There they are grown sustainably by 600 small farmers. The proceeds from the nuts are used to finance a school project for children. In the meantime, this has become a foundation.
Originally, the nut comes from Australia, more precisely from Queensland in Australia. It is therefore often referred to as The Queensland Nut. The cultivation and harvest is very complex, which is why the macadamia nut is also called the queen of nuts. The very slow growing tree bears fruit only after seven to eight years. The nuts ripen on the trees and are harvested from the ground. To make them easier to open, they are first stored in a well-ventilated place This reduces the moisture content and causes a small gap between the nut and the shell The thick, strong shell must be opened with a special spindle nutcracker.
The macadamia nut has a high fat content of over 70%, which is why its oil is often used for body care. The pleasant fragrance, the tasty aroma and the high protein content make the popularity of the nut grow constantly. Today, the popular nut is also grown in Hawaii, New Zealand, Kenya, Brazil, Guatemala, Bolivia and other countries.
By the way, dogs and cats do not tolerate the macadamia nuts. The reason has not yet been fully researched.
Together with a chef friend, Moritz Körner developed the recipes for the different varieties: with salt, chocolate, coffee and fruit. The chocolate is from Valrhona from France, so it's top quality. We were convinced by the quality, so we included it in our assortment.
Convince yourself of the extraordinary taste. The nuts can be served wonderfully to the aperitif.
