Cocoa blend from Peru and Dom. Republic

The creamy sweetness of Oriado is balanced and delicate, with notes of apricot / peach and vanilla, due to a low roasting gives very little bitterness for a dark chocolate.

The cocoa used in the production comes from two areas of origin and are combined for the first time Grands Crus chocolates to create a blend of fine chocolates at Valrhona. The cocoas come from:
- Peru: from the Piura region in northern Peru comes this unique cocoa. Valrhona's cacao experts have selected have worked with the plantation owners to build a "cacao oasis" that allows unique cacao to thrive despite this arid environment and thanks to a unique system of irrigation canals.
- Dominican Republic: The island of Santo Domingo is known worldwide for its long tradition of cacao cultivation, thanks to its fertile soils, regular rainfall and frequent sunshine. For the past 10 years, we have been cultivating soils and sustainable relationships with the island's growers with the goal of producing a unique cacao.
