Giandujotto Antica Ricetta - Pure Gianduja with at least 32% hazelnut content

Gianduja was invented out of an emergency. On November 21, 1806, Napoleon issued the continental barrier over the British Isles, so that cocoa, among other things, became extremely expensive and could hardly be obtained. Innovative Turin chocolatiers therefore stretched the cocoa mass, with the Turin hazelnuts, which were in abundance. Only decades later when the Turin mask wearer Gianduja the first individually wrapped, began to distribute small chocolate chips, the shape became known.

Other tongues claim that the shape is based on Napoleon's three-cornered hat. The tip was cut off to show that Napoleon had been cheated by stretching the chocolate with the hazelnuts.

Whatever is correct: it is clear that the small parts are extremely tasty.
