Goodnow Farms buy the cacao for this Almendra Blanca Chocolate from an 80-year-old family farm in the Mexican state of Tabasco. Cocoa farmer Vicente Cacep's Hacienda Jesus Maria is a 70-acre farm with 50 acres of cocoa and 20 acres of coffee, oranges, pimienta gorda, bananas and cattle. Vicente seeks a balance of life on his farm and also releases rescued native animals, including monkeys and marsupials, back into the plantation.

Taste profile: short, gentle roast and bright, fruity flavor of the Almendra Blanca bean.
