Hot Chocolate 52% Single Estate Cacao Drinking Chocolate

This Hot Chocolate with 52% cocoa content is made from Colombian cocoa beans. The cacao is lightly roasted and conched for up to 21 days.  It is absolutely perfect for drinking chocolate as it is without acidity and bursts with flavor. The smooth honey-fruit notes dance playfully with each other and are perfectly matched with the creaminess of the cocoa butter and (if you choose) the milk as well.

To make cocoa powder, you have to remove some of the cocoa butter, which makes up about 50% of cocoa bean. Willie leaves about 25% of the cocoa butter to give the luxuryHot Chocolate a wonderfully silky texture. Keeping this percentage of cocoa butter also means that the Hot Chocolate is 100% vegan, there is no need to add milk powder.

What else goes into this wonderful drinking chocolate? Only the best raw cane sugar from Barbados. No emulsifiers, flavor enhancers, thickeners, cream powders, powders or sweeteners. Nothing else at all! In addition, I use 52% cocoa powder, whereas most supermarket-Hot Chocolate contain about 20%, and those declared as luxurious usually contain around 30% cocoa maximum.

Recipes:

  1. Hot Chocolate: Put 25-30g of the drinking chocolate powder in a cup. Gradually add 200ml of milk while stirring, froth, ready.
  2. Chocolate milkshake: Put 25-30g of the drinking chocolate powder in a blender with 200ml of milk, blend and froth, add ice cubes, ready.

The cacao comes from Colombia, more precisely from cacao from the Estate Medellin estate. Medellin is located in the northwest of Colombia in the department of Antioquia. The region is now developing into one of the most economically interesting areas of the country due to its sunny climate.
