This cocoa is grown in the northeast of the island by the same producer in the district of Agua Grande. A Chocolate with fruity and woody aromas with notes of caramel.

Cocoa was brought to the island of Sao Tomé in the 1850s by Portuguese settlers who had already successfully introduced Brazilian varieties to the neighboring island of Principe.

The beans are purchased directly from small farmers and then fermented and dried in one place.
