Dieser Kakao wird im Nordosten der Insel bei ein und demselben Erzeuger im Bezirk Agua Grande angebaut. Eine Schokolade mit fruchtigen und holzigen Aromen mit Karamellnoten.

Kakao wurde in den 1850er Jahren von portugiesischen Siedlern auf die Insel Sao Tomé gebracht, die bereits erfolgreich brasilianische Sorten auf der Nachbarinsel Principe eingeführt hatten.

Die Bohnen werden direkt von den Kleinbauern gekauft und dann an einem Ort fermentiert und getrocknet.
