These are always made from the Arriba National cocoa bean, which is native to Ecuador and is preferably grown in the regions of Esmeraldas, Manabi and Los Rios. Pacari chocolate provides healthy moments of pleasure

Have you ever tried raw chocolate? During production, the chocolate mass is never heated above 49 °C, so that valuable ingredients such as antioxidants are preserved. Order the healthier version of our favorite sweet, you are guaranteed to be delighted by the taste. Pacari Raw chocolate is available with a cocoa content of 70 percent or more. If you do prefer lighter chocolates, you will also find them from Pacari in our range of Chocolats-de-luxe.com. Enjoy the sweet temptations from Ecuador at your leisure at home. And if you have never tasted an unroasted cocoa bean, it is high time you did, because they offer a completely different chocolate taste experience. Taste pure nature with cacao beans as powder, in pieces or even raw and unroasted.

Everything as it should be

  • Pacari attaches great importance to the careful use of natural resources and produces consciously and sustainably. Demeter certified chocolates contain only biodynamic raw materials.
  • Organic-Chocolate: Premium chocolates from Pacari are produced in the country of origin, Ecuador, with purely organic ingredients - without exceptions
  • Vegans do not have to do without chocolate: Pacari chocolates contain no ingredients of animal origin.
  • Palm oil-free: PACARI does without it!, because it also works without: Most chocolates do not get along without palm oil, for whose cultivation huge areas of rainforest are destroyed.
  • Free of genetic engineering: The fine chocolates are free of genetically modified organisms (GMO/GMO) and is also produced without their help. For Indulgence without concerns! 

Beyond Fairtrade

Fair is not fair enough for Pacari. Pacari therefore deliberately refrains from working with the well-known Fairtrade organization (read more about Fairtrade) but is part of the World Fair Trade Organization. At Pacari, they not only pride themselves on paying cocoa farmers the highest prices for their crop, they also maintain family relationships with the farming cooperatives. As the most B Corp-certified company, the focus is not on profits, but on ensuring that everyone involved in the value chain works and is paid under fair conditions.

 

Twenty years ago, Carla Barbotó and Santiago Peralta founded Pacari in Ecuador. They worked with 30 cocoa farming families and tweaked recipes. Little by little, Pacari was able to grow - and with it the vision of turning the cocoa world upside down. Today, complete value creation on site and direct trade make it possible for over 4,000 small farmers to live independently from their cocoa harvest. Meanwhile, in Ecuador, over 80 employees work passionately every day to process and market the cocoa. The community that has grown together over the course of two decades extends from the local producers and manufacturer, to the direct importer Premifair for Germany and Austria, to the specialized trade and ultimately to consumers and chocolate lovers.

To emphasize the importance of this community, the company founders set a sign: Pacari is now called Paccari. The additional C stands for Comunidad (community), Consciencia (conscience), Creatividad (creativity) and Confianza (trust). Little by little you will discover the new name and logo on the website, in the media and also in the stores and on the packaging.
