The company Slitti was founded in 1969 as a coffee roasting company by Luciano Slitti, the father of Andrea Slitti in Florence. Already an advocate of quality, he began roasting his own coffee because he was not satisfied with the qualities supplied. In 1988, when his sons Daniele and Andrea also joined the business, they wanted to expand their range. So Andrea Slitti began to produce the Chocolate.
The secret of his success lies in the passion that he and the whole family put into the artisan work and the careful selection of raw materials. The effort has been rewarded with numerous prizes, of which we list just a few: in 1993 with the gold medal at the International Competition in Laragne France, in 1994 Andrea Slitti wins in Paris the coveted Grand Prix International de la Chocolaterie, the largest chocolate competition in the world, which takes place only every 3 years. in 1996 he is awarded the Eurochocolate Award (chocolate Oscar) in Perugia. in 2008 he is awarded as the best chocolatier in Italy.
