Piura Nibs 70% chocolate with cocoa nibs

from Piura cocoa, Piura region in northern Peru

The cocoa beans for this bar come from the Piura region the Northwest of the country near the border to Ecuador in Peru. The cocoa beans are known for their white color . The 70% chocolate has a color like milk chocolate, in spite of the high cocoa content. Piura is just one variety of cocoa that recently were discovered. In the meantime one speaks of 10 types of cocoa that differ genetically.  

The flavors of the cocoa taste refreshingly of lemons and a hint of nuts . The chocolate wonderfully combines the aromas of cocoa with the crispy, roasted cocoa beans.

The 70% Piura Nibs is a chocolate that is produced in the country of origin Peru from the bean to the bar ( bean-to-bar ).
