Die dunkle Schokolade Tanzania Kokoa Kamili 70% ist eine Jahrgangsschokolade aus der Ernte von 2021.

Kokoa Kamili ist eine Kooperative in Afrika, genauer gesagt in dem Ort Mbingu in Tansania. Mbingu bedeutet "Himmel" auf Suaheli. Der Ort ist sehr ländlich und liegt ca. 60km von der nächsten asphaltierten Straße und Elektrizität entfernt. Der Ort liegt im Kilombero Tal. Bis zum nächsten Flughafen sind es 15 Stunden Fahrt.

Die Kakaobohnen werden von den Kakaobauern "nass" an Kokoa Kamili verkauft, was bedeutet, dass sie die frischen Kakaobohnen an Kokoa Kamili verkaufen. Kokoa Kamili kann so den Fermentationsprozess von Anfang an kontrollieren und somit die beste Qualität der Kakaobohnen sicherstellen.
