The dark chocolate Tanzania Kokoa Kamili 70% is a vintage chocolate from the harvest of 2021.

Kokoa Kamili is a cooperative in Africa, more specifically in the village of Mbingu in Tanzania. Mbingu means "heaven" in Swahili. The village is very rural and is located about 60km from the nearest paved road and electricity. The village is located in the Kilombero Valley. It is a 15 hour drive to the nearest airport.

The cocoa beans are sold "wet" to Kokoa Kamili by the cocoa farmers, which means that they sell the fresh cocoa beans to Kokoa Kamili. Kokoa Kamili can thus control the fermentation process from the beginning, ensuring the best quality cocoa beans.
