Handmade tree-to-bar chocolate from Peru. The Ultra Premium Chuncho cocoa beans come from the Cusco / Quillabamba region. They are naturally grown and traded directly. Meybol Cacao pays a significantly higher price.

Chuncho is a word from the ancient Incan language Quechua and means "shy and small". Chuncho is also the name for one of the finest cocoa beans in the world. Of the cocoa beans that are more than a hundred years old, just under a ton are harvested each year. Originally the cocoa trees were grown by the Matshiguengas Indians. They lived at an altitude of over 3,500 m in the valleys of Apurimac and Villa Virgen in the Cusco region.

The chocolate has a variety of aromas of honey, guanabana, heck cherry, plum, raisin, green tea, bergamot. The cocoa bean is only slightly bitter and very creamy.

The ingredients of the chocolate consist only of cocoa and sugar, nothing else.
