Carenero 70% dark chocolate from Venezuela

A cacao grown in the state of Sucre in northern Venezuela, just near the port of Carenero from which the beans were shipped in the past and which gives the name to this Chocolate.
The beans are Criollo-Trinitario hybrids from Barlovento. They are harvested by small farmers who also ferment and dry them before they are shipped.

This Chocolate has a long finish, with nutty, cocoa flavors and as well as a touch of astringency.
