Guasare 70% dark chocolate from Venezuela

This Criollo cacao starts with cocoa notes followed by citrus flavors with a floral finish.

The Guasare beans come from near the Guasare River in northwestern Venezuela, not far from Colombia, and experts now believe it is related to the ancient Colombian Criollo variety. Moreover, it comes from the same region as the Porcelana cacao.

The Guasare cacao trees produce impressive pods due to their size and large number.
