Sur del Lago 70% dark chocolate from Venezuela

Sur del Lago means south of the lake and refers to the area south of the Maracaibo Basin. The beans are collected there from local plantations and then fermented and dried on site.

This cacao variety is a hybrid of Criollo, Pajarito and Trinitario with unusually pointed cacao pod ends.
