70% Kokoa Kamili Tanzania dark chocolate

The 70% chocolate consists of Trinitario cocoa beans. The beans come from the Kokoa Kamili cooperation, which obtains the cocoa beans from farmers in the region of the southern Kilombero Valley in Tanzania. The cooperation attaches great importance to a close relationship with the farmers and has set itself the goal of improving living and working conditions.

In 2011, Marieke Wijne-Slop, who comes from the Netherlands, opened her chocolate manufactory in Staatz. Staatz is located in the largest wine-growing region of Austria and is a small market town with about 2000 inhabitants.

The taste of the chocolate is very contrasting: the woody note is complemented by a surprisingly fruity citrus flavor.

At the International Chocolate Awards   EUROPA 2016, the 70% ZART Kokoa Mill Tanzania chocolate was awarded silver award-winning.
