Original Beans has this Cocoa variety in Selva Zoque , the largest rainforest in Mexico in the south of the country discovered. The Zoque and Tzotzil tribes have been making cocoa for 4,000 years in this region. They gave the cocoa tree its name: Kakaw and a god like it: the cocoa pod-eating spider monkey. This is where chocolate was born.
