Trinidad & Tobago Estate Chocolate

This chocolate is a composition of cocoa beans from the Rose Hill plantation in Trinidad and the craftsmanship of Mikkel Friis Holm. The idea was certainly born at our Chocolate Gourmet Festival, where Duane Dove and Mikkel Friis Holm met as exhibitors.

Duane is a cocoa farmer and plantation owner. He bought the Rose Hill Estate plantation in Trinidad a few years ago and reforested the existing cocoa plants and added new plants. Trinidad is a very old cocoa-growing area, where the Trinitario variety was created by crossing Criollo and Forastero and was named after the island.

Mikkel Friis Holm is an excellent chocolate manufacturer from Denmark who came up with the idea for the dark milk chocolate. Duane delivers his cocoa beans and Mikkel creates the chocolate from them.

The chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate and a dark milk chocolate, ie a milk chocolate with a high cocoa content.
