Kräftige Schokolade aus 100% Kakaomasse mit Noten von Leder und Nüssen.

Die Kakaobohnen stammen aus dem Semuliki Forest im Semuliki-Nationalpark, in der abgelegenen Region Bundibugyo im Westen Ugandas und beherbergt eine der vielfältigsten Flora und Fauna Afrikas.

Der Kakao wird von den 1.002 Kleinbauern in der Region angebaut, von denen 52 % Frauen sind. Die Kakao-Kooperative Latitude Trade Co. (LTC) organisiert sechs ländliche Sammelstellen, zu denen die Bauern Zugang haben und an denen sie wöchentlich frischen Kakao gegen Barzahlung am Verkaufsort an das Netzwerk verkaufen. Die zentrale Fermentationsanlage und das Lager von LTC befinden sich in dem Dorf Bumate am Fuße der Ruwenzori Berge.
