Plantation La Laguna Guatemala Chocolat Lait 47% - milk chocolate

This whole milk chocolate Plantation La Laguna Guatemala Chocolat Lait 47% is made in the Cluizel factory near Paris. The cocoa beans come from the La Laguna plantation in Guatemala . It is located in a nature reserve , in Alta Verapaz district near the town of Lanquin. The famous Semuc Champey pools are a popular tourist destination and at the same time an oasis in the middle of the woods. The Rio Cahabon River runs under the basins and has naturally fed the La Laguna plantation for centuries. The water is crystal clear, the area was declared a natural heritage in 1999.

Marc Cluizel is the cocoa hunter at Cluizel. Recognizes Carlos del Cid, the Responsible on the plantation for over 6 years. This takes care himself with his team meticulously about the cocoa plants in order to obtain the best possible cocoa. The environment offers the best, natural conditions for the cultivation of cocoa, which was already practiced there in the times of the Mayas.

The cocoa beans are carefully fermented, dried and sorted by hand over several days. This is the only way that Cluizel can produce the best quality chocolate. For roasting, the roasting temperature and the roasting duration are precisely adapted to the respective cocoa beans so that none of the fine aromas are lost, but rather supported. The Cluizel family, which is one of the few manufacturers in France, has 70 years of experience. The quality of the chocolate is consistent and shows great craftsmanship.

The origin chocolate or single origin chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate that is also available in a dark version in our shop.
