This chocolate from Akessons with 75% Forastero cocoa is grown on the Fazenda Monte Alegre plantation in Brazil. The chocolate has expressive notes of wood, the scent of autumn and the local fruit pitanga.

The Akesson family has owned this plantation since the 1970s and organically grows all plants sustainably. The Diego Badaró family of growers have succeeded in growing a rare Forastero cocoa variety called Parasinho . The cocoa beans grow in the Mata Atlantica, the primeval forest with the highest biodiversity on earth.

Prizes and awards of the Akessons 75% Forastero Cocoa:

  • The chocolate was awarded gold in 2011 by the Academy of Chocolate in London in the category "best dark bar" (best dark chocolate bar ).
  • In 2014 it was awarded 3 stars at the Great Taste Awards.
