The Arriba Nacional cocoa beans typical of Ecuador are the basis for this dark Ecuador Alpaco Grand Cru chocolate with 66% cocoa content . The chocolate has notes of jasmine and orange blossom .

The unique cocoa grows only in Ecuador and always surprises with its floral, but also chocolate notes . Cocoa was grown there as early as the 17th century. Ecuador is the country that exports the most fine flavor cacao.

Valrhona is one of the oldest chocolate factories in France. The company was founded in 1922 as the Vivarais chocolate factory. The Valrhona brand was not created until 1947 and is now one of the world's best chocolate brands. It was Valrhona who launched the first dark chocolate on the market in 1986. The tablet still exists today, it's called Guanaja, named after one of the Bahia Islands in the Caribbean that Christopher Columbus discovered on his 4th trip to America. Valrhona supervises the cultivation of the cocoa trees on the plantations with which they work according to its own strict quality guidelines. The beans are made in France to make one of the best chocolates in the world, from bean to bar. In 1988 Valrhona created the Ecole du chocolat, where the confectionery trade can be learned to perfection. The limited plantation chocolate from the Gran Cuva collection has been around since 1998.
